Yeah, we've always been told to "Look like you use the products, not like you need to!" :P

In all seriousness though, Lush products transformed my skin. I used to be an oily mess and now I actually get compliments on my skin quite often, so I can talk with absolute confidence about how awesome the skincare is :)

I have pretty decent skin, compared to a few years ago. I love the lush stuff, I should really use more if their skin products.

I think I know who the manager is at my local one. If it is who I think it is, then that's great. Cos she is lovely!! :D No one wears a name badge....it's like they're all Buddhists!

Congratulations! Hope it goes well for you. :)

& 9-5 Cleanser is really lovely- much better than face wipes and lovely and calming. I use it before Aqua Marina & Vanishing cream.

Hopefully people who work there or have applied before can help me here i recently applied for a fulltime job at lush & iv been called back for an interview was just wandering what the interview process is like? Any interview tips would also be great :)

Any help would be appreciated. i would much rather work for a company i have a passion for the products than my current company who dont give a dam about anyone.

At mine, they did a circle of death thing, where you introduce yourself, then we got to play with the products for a while, then each did a demo, so chances are it'll be similar to that.

Just be friendly, chatty, know the products, most importantly don't be shy! Volunteer for stuff!

yay!!! i just order my haul of the x-mass stuff...

am so looking forward to glogg (the drink that i soooo love every christmass), maple taffy that sounded so yummy that i had to have it & mandarin's tea party .
i also ordered some older stuff; 17 cherry tree lane soap, orange blossom solid perfume ( i <3 neroli scented stuff) & it started with a kiss...

i try to order around the methylparaben-stuff, but i do love my lush stuff so once in a while i give in and gets me some nice lush treats.

As far as trainee manager advice goes, it's difficult because I was promoted internally, rather than coming in from outside the company. I think I was successful because I had specific ideas of ways our particular shop could make more money, which obviously an outsider wouldn't be able to do. They already knew I had the customer service skills, product knowledge, work ethic etc...

Yeah, I knew you already worked there. The job advert for mine said must have managerial experience.....I've had a PM with a few ideas about questions from someone else. Apparently I interview well, so here's hoping :D

I've been thinking about the shop & the stuff I rarely buy....but forget they're there iykwim. If they were moved somewhere else perhaps people (like myself) would buy them more often.

I can only see & hope........

Has anyone got any tips on Porridge soap? When I first bought it, I loved it, it smells amazing and lathers up a treat, but by the time I had used half of it, it seems handfuls of oats were just being wasted in a smush at the bottom of my shower ;_;

Does anyone have any tips to prevent it disintergrating so messily? Or any use for the oats that drop off? ^^

I've given up with Porridge, as much as I love it all it does is attract wasps (I'm allergic to wasp stings) and dissolve in the shower before you can use it all. It's a shame because it's so lovely, just too much effort for a soap.

Well done girls, for getting the jobs! I'm sure you will both be awesome :D

Did a spot of shopping today; bought some Glogg to try out, not sure if I like it not! It sort of reminds me of Coca Cola rather than Mulled Wine. =/

Sigh, apparently after seeing how I cope with a full shift, I'm "not what Lush Derby are looking for really".

I'm quite gutted about this, they didn't tell me what I was doing wrong right until the end of the shift and didn't give me any chance to try and do what I was doing better :/
