I love this tut, it's fast and seems fairly simple. I'll have to wait for winter time to come around since I live in South Texas by the Gulf they probably won't have a lot of fleece available. Plus i think those dreads would be extremely warm to wear down here. lol maybe i'll make some over the summer for x-mas gifts if i do find fleece.
oh and totally OT but I love that first pic with the camo, I had to do a triple check because I thought you were a mannequin(totally a compliment, your skin is very pretty and smooth in that pic!!). great tut!!

Re: Faux-Roving or Fleece Dreads Tutorial
I have a tip and a question:
Tip= Use heavy duty kitchen gloves. I just made a set while wearing these and my hands are crampy from the gripping, but my skin is just fine.
Question= How do you get the ends so pretty and curly? I cut mine at an angle like you said and finger pulled the ends, but it's just not doing that cool curl thing like yours do. Help?

I just cut it really really thin all the way to the tips and it just sort of happens when I finger pull the ends. Maybe experiment with different widths/angles at the ends.FizzyPopLocks wrote:I have a tip and a question:

Re: Faux-Roving or Fleece Dreads Tutorial
I acutally bought some plastic clips at Ikea from a friend here on the board (they were suggested a long time ago in the synth dread section for clipping the hair down but that didn't work for me) and use them to stretch the strips of fleece. It's quick and saves my hands a LOT of hurting.
It's these here:

I have been closely admiring your work for DAYS. I looked at every picture I could find on here and on your etsy account. I finally figured out how you do it 2 days ago, and then came across this tut this morning. I could have spared myself all time staring at your pictures to figure it out
I love this idea and I think I am going to try making some this weekend

Sorry you didn't find this earlier! If I feel I've found a unique hair making technique I guard it for about a year. Then I make a public tut for the technique
