Still a beginner but feeling like a pro [New pics]

I made these dreads yesterday when I was feeling too sick to walk around but all right to sit up and do a little dreadwork. It took me all day and most of the day before to get these done from backcombing to sealing the tips. I don't know how some of you ladies do it, cranking out -whole- sets in less then a day.

But these are nothing too special. 15 DEs [from one packet of hair I might add ^.^] in Sensationnel's M33/1B so it's a really rich chocolate brown. These are going to be curled and in a set of mixed browns and blacks for my new office job.


I was trying my best to get wispy ended dreads so these are sealed a lot and really tight. I haven't trimmed the ends though. I figured that might be a little counterproductive until after I curl them.


They're just shy of pencil/pen width


These are infinitely better than my previous dreads. They made me feel like a pro when I finished them. ^.^

See anything that might need improving?
Do you have a way of doing wispy ends?
Would these be considered micro-dreads? They're -really- skinny.

I finished the set. But I lost count of how many were in it because once I had 41 I started to install them and realized I might not have enough for my head. I made more and when I installed all of them, including my fringe, it was waay too big and now there's about 15 left over. So apparently I made the right amount the first time, since I'm guessing I made about 20 - 25 more. I left my fringe out because I thought it looked cuter and I haven't really figure out how to install appropriately in my fringe. Next time.
Anyways the colours included are: M30/4 - 1B - 1 - F4/30 - M33/1B
All are DEs except for about 17 SEs installed in the part and along the sides

Office Appropriate?

I have a 'natural' undercut aka hella breakage around the back of my head and encrouching on my bangs. The hair is about an inch or two curled really tight. So I installed on the shorter sides. At first I was using hair glue and extra KK but realized that most of the hair was able to be braided at least twice. So I braided and rubberbanded. Not sure of the consequences of this. I just wanted a more natural hairline for an updo or two.


Second Updo that I plan on doing when I take pictures of my historical gowns, mostly late 18th century, and I have a set installed. It's two large pigtail-like buns that will most likely have ribbons tied around them. I don't have any pictures of it under a mobcap but it's super cute.

i love your blends and the curlies. are all of them as long as the ones in the front view picture? or are they more layered? looks heavy if they aren't layered, but they look wonderful on you

They are all pretty much the same length except for the curlies that are a few inches longer. Oh and there are some short ones but they're hiding on the bottom layers. I pretty much put them in randomly because I was so excited to practically have a whole head of dreads. I'll probaly be more strategic next time I plan on installing them. They need a bit of resealing after three weeks of wear. Turns out there was practically 70 dreads stuffed on that head of mine.
