Hi everyone I'm brand spankin new to this site! BUT that's not the point I've been thinking over this whole entire week how to make these:
I heard on one site it was made with wrapping saran wrap around wire a whole lotta times!? Has anyone tested this out? Thank you!!

All of DJ SiSen's wigs are made by [A]narchy (I think).
That's one of their signature bubblewrap wigs.

Yeah that's bubblewrap, not saran wrap. Not sure how they make them, though.

Re: Hair Made From Saran Wrap?!
So I read the link and I'm thinking maybe you could put KK hair as an extension maybe or dread and wrap a layer of bubblewrap and use saran or shrink wrap and as you go manipulate each of them they way you want them to stay. Has anyone tried this? I'm afraid to go out and waste my money haha being a starving college student is GREAT

I may try that
When I can get my hands on more KK
I was also thinking the tape method would be fun if I could find out where to get alot of neon tape ^^

I don't see why there would be any need to use KK or dreads as you'd be covering them up anyway. If you want natural-looking falls that move with you, try wrapping double-sided tape around thick ribbon and then colored bubble wrap which can be found in numerous online stores. In order to make the bubble wrap stay wrapped up like that you could put a layer of that wide clear packaging tape over each "dread".rawksis wrote:So I read the link and I'm thinking maybe you could put KK hair as an extension maybe or dread and wrap a layer of bubblewrap and use saran or shrink wrap and as you go manipulate each of them they way you want them to stay. For a more precise look, you could probably use wire (you can pick up various gauges in various lengths at any hardware store). Then your dreads would stick up or over or down however you wanted them to, but wouldn't blow in the wind or anything. In this case you could probably just wrap the bubble wrap directly around the wire without the tape step as long as you secured it somehow, say tying thread around it at periodic lengths to make sure it didn't slip off.
I'm making all of this up as I've never even attempted it myself, but it seems like a good strategy to me.

Re: Hair Made From Saran Wrap?!
I personally think Anarchy uses bubble wrap to make the shape then wraps it in Stretch Film kind of like this http://www.packagingsupplies.com/Colore ... _Film.html
Stretch film only sticks to itself, not hair or skin, and is very malleable.

All of sisens bubble wrap dreads are wigs made from anarky in the jp. Altho this method is a well kept secret as far as im aware the bult is bubble wrap then wrapped in something coloured then they may be another layer of bubble wrap

I've not tried it, nor have I had Anarchy's bubble dreads in my hands. BUT I have played with Stretch Film and Bubble Wrap separately, and I strongly believe it would produce similar results.

Re: Hair Made From Saran Wrap?!
She definitely knows best, but it leaves me with questions:
Where's the seam where one side folds over the other?
How do they secure that seam?
How do the tips look solid?
These following links aren't terribly helpful... but:
http://quinnster.fqdn.net/plastic/sampink.html
http://www.doctoredlocks.com/hh_forum/a ... 8c95ef3144
Judging by the colors on Anarchy's website, and the colored bubble wrap available, I'd say there's not doubt they're letting the bubble wrap color show through.
