For the people who can't or don't have time to make things, they could always bring along things that they already have but don't want anymore like jewellery or clothing. The uni did a Barnados clothes swap like this and it worked really well :)

Oh I love this idea :D it sounds awsome

ooops i totally forgot about this thread.

i have the Brighton festival book somewhere but heres the website of whats going on. http://www.brightonfestival.org/

I dont mind meeting people if theres people in the Hove area, theres lots of B&B's this end that are cheaper.

Search Brighton and Hove for hotels and B&B's Hove will be cheaper as its outside the city.

Which club is that?

Yay! Glad everyone likes the hippy trade idea :) I'm so excited about this that I want it to be sooner!!! lol

If anyone is thinking of booking a b&b or a hotel, I would say book it sooner rather than later - I used to work with the Visitor Information Centre here and you wouldn't believe how quickly accommodation gets booked up in this city when it's summertime.

Here is a good place to start looking:
http://www.visitbrighton.com/site/accommodation

As it has most hotels, guesthouses and b&bs listed, to cater for various budgets and tastes.

Oh Deviant!!! Hehe yeah I know it, used to go there quite frequently! I sort of know the guys that run it - it's good on a Friday but on a Saturday it's less metal and more classic rock, isn't it? Still, there's plenty of variety for nights out here in B-town, I'm sure there will be something for everyone :D

I havent looked at this thread for a little while- is the plan still second weekend in july??
I think the budget theme swap thing is a nice idea, people could make a few accent dreads of their own signature style or something

Actually that Andorra place that got posted is 5mins away from me too, and in a very lovely street :)
I can meet people too; I am nearest the car parks that would be used. There is a huge underground car park in my square too that is £12 for the day. This is in Regency Square incase anyone needs to know where it is etc :i2:

There are other cheap b&b's near me such as Valentines House, but it has very mixed views.
I think Umi is reasonable too: http://umihotelbrighton.co.uk/index.php/rooms.php

Ooh I have found this place:
http://www.brightonroyalhotel.com

They do £20 a night for private rooms and £15 a night for dorm type rooms; so if anyone wants to have a big group room it would work out cheap! But the hotel isn't very big (10 rooms) so you would have to book early!

Ah, that looks like a good one, as long there is sufficient space. ^^

Wow it would be awesome if you all managed to get a dorm together, was going to say that if worst comes to worst, a few could crash at mine; it's only a short distance away from the centre of town.

I'm so hyped for this now, I can't wait to see everyones reaction to all the bright hair, but Brighton's pretty chilled about stuff like that anyway ^_^'

I'd like to come to this, but agree with Deadteddies the information is all over the place and I'm not sure what is happening when.

Swap - from the look of it, I think it was like we are all bringing used hair accessories or uh hair to swap with each other?

Don't think we established a meeting place or time. I suppose somewhere central... Outside Cyberdog? :P

Since alot of people either haven't been to Brighton or have only be to some parts I think somewhere like the entrance of the pier might be a better place to meet.

-Nods- I was thinking perhaps Brighton station? But whatever is easiest for people is fine by me. ^^

I suppose it depends if the majority of people are coming by car/ train etc.
