Obviously just a synth fan blog, however ALOT of girls from here have pictures on here that arent tagged as such, she has a thing at the side asking people to let her know so she can credit. Thought I should let you guys know.

She's obviously taken a few off this forum, so why not just set up an account (if she hasnt already got one!) and ask :S instead of using them anyway and expecting people to ask for them to be credited afterwards! Youre right it could be worse, but still!

Most, if not all bloggers on tumblr admit pics aren't theirs & will assign credit if they're told who the pic belongs to.

I think most of them are actually from Google Images. Its not like the search engine doesn't pick up images from this forum. But still no excuse.

yeah I didnt think anyone would throw a hissy over it, but I know a few girls hate having their pics spread around. I quite like the blog as an easy place to see a bunch of cool pics, but would be nice to know the sellers and stuff too.

Some of the pictures have tags saying where they came from. I suspect if you're on there and want to be credited, all it would take is a quick message to the owner saying which images are yours and where to link to (or politely asking to be removed, whatever the case may be).

I didn't see anything of mine on there, but my personal policy for stuff like this is to let them use anything I photographed and any pictures I'm in, but not pictures from the customer gallery since I don't know how each individual customer feels about it.

I'm annoyed by the laziness of people these days! Everything that can be found with google search is free to use, even if google search says "copyright may restrict the reuse of these images" or something... How hard it is to give credit if there's a watermark and web-address in the photo? How hard can it be to actually go to page, look for contact information and ask a permission?

The picture of me gives credit to Kellye, which I'm happy about but ironically the copyright belongs to me as I'm the photographer. To be honest I'm not fussed either way but it's an interesting point. Most pictures of customers wearing dreads on dreadmakers sites will be taken by someone other than the hair maker, either the customer themselves or another tog. The sellers have been given permission to display the pictures on their site but aren't actually the copyright holder and can't pass that permission on to anywhere else, makes it tricky to find out who a shot belongs to.

For everyone who’s sent me messages to add credit/edit, I’ll be doing this as soon as I get home (college computers block me from most of tumblr, including editing posts)
Hope that’s okay! Keep it coming, I want to make sure everything is credited appropriately.

Also, to the people who say I should check beforehand, I do my best, but sometimes I find the images on sites where they are not credited, which is why I ask you to tell me!

Oh, and if you ever want a picture of your work taken down, just let me know and I’ll delete it. I do appreciate that sometimes people don’t want it plastered over a fan blog.
