Color Blending KK Pic tut

Post by cherrybombdreads » Tue Jun 16, 2009 11:22 am

AS THE PICTURES HAVE DISSAPPEARED....

Please find the tut here

http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/d ... r_blending

This is just how i mix my colors =]

First I take the two colors I want to mix, I'm choosing to use equal amounts here, but you can use more of one, or more of the other, depending on what color you are looking for.
I'm using fantasy blue and darkest purple.

Put one of the colors ontop of the other.

Finally pull the hair in half, so you have two sections of hair, with both colors in. Then simply put them back on top of each other, and continue to pull apart and put back on top. The more you do this the better it will mix.
Beware of streaks of color in your mix, when sealing, and twisting it will make more of a marble/twisty effect.

Ta daaa!
Done! Just keep mixing the colors until you find a color YOU like.

I always have issues when trying to blend 2 colors.

Especially when the two colors have different textures.. They always end up re-chunking after i blended it pretty well. =[

I seriously failed at this with my first set... ended up with a lot of unintentional candy canes. Now I know for the future. Thanks!
