Re: getting the glue off the weft
what glue did you use? most have a remover counter part or i think you can use stuff with acetone, like nail polish remover. not completely sure about that though. hot water and conditioner can also make it easier to remove

Re: getting the glue off the weft
I have never been able to get it all off. With liquid gold if you use the remover it just seems to make it spongy and you can get more off, but it seems to leave greasy bits you can't get off. Without remover it doesn't get the glue off, but at least it isn't greasy.
I also tried nail varnish remover, shampoo, fairy liquid, conditioner etc. None have removed all the glue.
I am starting to think it isn't possible to get it all off.

Re: getting the glue off the weft
As someone who frequently recycles weft, I have not ever removed all of the glue. I use the generic beauty supply store latex bonding glue, so can get a good amount of the bulk off, but there will always be a bit of residue. Which, honestly, just helps to secure it the next time I want to use them, calling for less glue.

Yes, I would agree with this with liquid gold if you have NOT used the remover, but once the removered residue is there it just serves to weaken the glue the next time, very annoying. I try to remove as much as I can without the remover nowCouture_Coiffure wrote: Which, honestly, just helps to secure it the next time I want to use them, calling for less glue.

with your own hair try to comb it out with a fine tooth comb. If it is really welded in try rubbing conditioner into it before combing. I usually find a couple of washings and doing that gets it all out

Re: getting the glue off the weft
Tea tree oil seems to help break down the glue, and there is also a bond remover which costs about the same.
