24" hair extensions. Advice please =)

Post by sarahleighlove » Wed Nov 24, 2010 1:04 pm

hey,

I'm just wanting some advice on anyone who has or has ever had 24inch hair extensions!

I currently have 2packs of 20" remi goddess silky straight human hair weaved in, and i'm really wanting to go longer! I'm known for going a tad too far with hair extensions and forget that sometimes there is such thing as TOO LONG! I'm really tall for a girl (5ft 11) and the 24" will probably reach my bum. I'll be having it really thick and layed, abit like Cheryl Cole's ;) and i'll be having 2packs of 20" and 2packs of 24" to get the result.

Anyways apologise if this isn't the sort of thread that usually gets posted, but i'm just really worried i'll look an idiot!

But yeah, my main question is.....would someone my height pull off super long hair (24inches) extensions?

Kisses,
Sarah x

I believe it is a preference thing. If that's how YOU want it, then go for it! I personally think 24'' is a bit too long. I googled Cheryl Cole and her hair looks very pretty and appears to be between 18 and 20 inches in most pictures.

i had super long extensions once, and i am 5'11'' too... it looked great, but i tell you the key was to have the hair layered rather dramatically, so it sat really well in the back. that way, i had a cool pony-mane thing goin on! it also cut down in the weight of the hair!
some pics...

24" is NOT too long - its awesome! I'm only 5'7 and i have made/used 24" clip in sets for myself.
they look hot! Sorry no pics - i'm new to this forum.

LOL my only advice is that longer = heavier - so hopefully your hair and scalp are strong.
thats why i did just clip ins, so when my scalp hair gets tired/sore (i backcomb and spray to anchor them in) i can just take them out.

And also, if you fall asleep but forget to braid or tie up or cover your extensions they will strangle you as you sleep (k, only if you toss n turn like me)! LOL But otherwise, long and luscious is lotsa fun!

I've also done super long microbraids, also a ton o fun - highly recommend.
good luck
post pics if you can!

Thats really not long at all :) i have quite a few friends with natural hair who can sit on their hair and they are all a similar height to you (some smaller some talller. It looks really good :)
I agree though layered is the way to go

I had 24" long hair sewn in earlier this year, and I'm 5'10" It looked great, but I used 2 packs (I have a mohawk) and it looked like a full head of hair. Even with 2 packs, it was HEAVY!
