Fuzzy bits

Post by Black-Sunshine » Mon Sep 01, 2008 1:22 pm

Recently Ive been finding it difficult to get rid of the fuzzies after sealing dreads, especially when using buy-hair KK. Has anyone got any tips or advice for getting rid of fuzzies?

Thank you :)

I trim them with a pair of scissors to get rid of the worst culprits!

I know a lot of people use the iron/straightener tecnhique to get them down and get uber smooth dreads, but I find that only lasts as long as they are new, and after a few wears they look fuzzy again anyway so it's kinda a waste of time!

I tuck them into the dreads as much as possible when I twist them and other than that, I just accept their fuzzy existence :P
I generally don't trim the fuzzies because they can cause the dreads to unravel if you happen to cut off a chunk that's part of the dread structure.. plus the ends can get itchy when they start to poke out again.

I trim them. If you steam your dreads really well and you're careful to only trim the surface pokies, you'll find they'll look and feel great.

I find that any dreads that aren't trimmed tend to have a bit of a velrco effect once they've been installed for a few days.
