been asked to install some SE dreads but i've only ever used DE's. can anyone tell me the best method of doin it? or is it just through the loop and the split the hair and braid in as usual??

Yep, that's exactly it - just thread the hair through, split, and braid as per usual!

Actually, Shifuku's blanketstitch tutorial covers single enders. I found that they sit waaaaaay better if you do it like that.
Section off the hair, split in two, thread the SE onto one of the bits of hair then blanketstitch as usual. The trick is to move the other piece of hair under where the loop is to lock the dread in position.
If the loops are large, it's best to try and keep the natural hair at the top of the dread, so this method works better than putting the hair through than splitter (and the loop doesn't get abused as much)!
