The only way I make my SE's over 24 inches is I stagger the hair (or do the transitional method with other colours or even the same colour).

Basically when you seperate the hair from the bundle, take about 1/4 more than you would normally use and split your section in half. I don't know how to explain this clearly, bring the hair back together, but have one side longer than the other. That way you have more length available to work with.

I'll draw something.

EDIT: Best I could do with a trackpad lol.

Same thing works for DE's.
Just make sure you have a good grip on the shorter parts when backcombing.
If you need reassurance, use some thread or fishing line to keep the 2 parts together. Simply snip it off when you've finished backcombing. (Something I learnt from JadedDreads on HH).

I bought some hair that's really long anyway.
Cut it in half and still make SE that are to my hips or near about.

I can't remember what type it was but Kanekalon's all the same really?

Actually, this Australian brand of KK that I picked up from an African hair store (in Newtown, for an ungodly price) was around 64" in total. I cut it in half and made 18" SE's.

Yeah I think it is.

It's a shame, I mean natural colours are nice and all but I like flashes of colour ^^

I know, I love the fact its uber long and hate that the only unnatural colours are burgundy or a black with some blue blended in :i3:

Yeah I saw some black with blue blended in but I don't really fancy blue.
I thought I'd give black a whirl anyway.
^^

Is there any other long kanekalon but in unnatural colours?
Or have you just not come accross it?

I haven't found any that long in unnatural colours unfortunately, but I'm always on the lookout for them, if I find any I'll let you know.

Yeah I love having long dreads.
But I haven't really mastered transitionals where you loop the second hair through the first. (get me?)

I want some new bright ones though ^^
