Miniskirt Tutorial
TUTORIALS:
http://whatthecraft.com/tuts/ruff.htm
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqNzQeTAXwQ
Original Message: Ive been looking around and I can't seem to find a simple step by step tutorial.
I found one on craftster.com but it wasn't very detailed in its instructions. i mean it showed the iron pleating part but i get confused about the how to sew it all together part... (I'm still pretty new to sewing..)
Just wondering if anyone knows a step by step one.
thanks!

Re: Any one know a good pleated mini skirt tutorial??
what kind of pleats do you want? the ones that go one way round or the ones that face each other?

Re: Any one know a good pleated mini skirt tutorial??
lol i got what you meant.
i would appricate it soooo much...
if you could even just show how (or explain how) to sew the pleats to the "waist band/ top of skirt"
i understand the fold for the most part, and that ironing helps keep the fold.. im jsut confused as to how you sew it so the pleats stay.. its probably easier than i think.. but when i tried it before the pleats got all bunched..
thank you again!!

Re: Any one know a good pleated mini skirt tutorial??
you basically just iron them down as much as possible and sew the waist band over them. I like to sew the dirrection that the pleats are folded in. I also recomend sewing down the edges of the pleats a bit to keep them in place as your adding the waistband, just the bits your not going to see, i find this can make it a little less bulky and keeps them in place for longer
i know your problems. I did werk experience for a designer and they had me pleating (i'd never done any at this point), it was apsolute hell for weeks. I had to pick the season with pleats
