fimo and findings help!

Post by FRUIT_SALAD » Fri Mar 20, 2009 8:34 pm

Hi everyone!

Not sure where this should go so please move around to the correct place XD

Anywho i'm having a right arsey time with fimo and my findings!

for example.

I make a gorgeous yummy donut pendant, stick the finding in, bake for the correct time and then after cooling and 'varnishing' and can now wear it!

So i'm wearing *lalalalaaaaa* and oh no! the friggin finding has come away from the pendant.

Why is this!??? i'm assuming its because the pendant is too heavy for the finding but i don't know how to get thickerones or if its just me.

HELP!!!

thank youuuu ^___^

You probably just need to use a little glue to get it stuck in place. :)

I don't think findings are meant to be baked. It could be destroying the metal. I would just put your findings in after your fimo is baked and sealed. You can use a toothpick to create a hole for your findings.

When you put the finding in did you push it in deep enough so some of the loopy was stuck in? If you know what I mean. That stopped my problem :D
