An odd one, this is. I was wondering if anybody had or knew of any incense-stick tuts?
I've seen something called 'witchpowder' that I believe can be used to create incense sticks? I'm not overly sure about the details but I'm really interested in learning this.

not really a tut...but a supply shop around here sells the ingredients needed and has a 'how to' so maybe you can put 2 and 2 together with what you know

That's funny... I was just going to post the same link!
I used items from the link that doll eyes posted with good success - it's pretty easy and I had fun blending fragrances! Did them for holiday gifts for friends a few years ago before I started making soap.

Re: Wanted! Incense tut?
I've dabbled with both soap and inscense making for the last couple of years now.
I could try putting together a tutorial this weekend for both if you're interested.
Let me know.... ?
But first things first is buying the supplies. One of my favorite places are Bitter Creek Candle Supply, http://www.candlesupply.com/
They have everything! They even had stuff for making eyeshadows last time I checked.
You want to buy scents, or essential oils, carrier oil (I like using both) as well as blank (unscented) sticks or cones.
The basic idea is you add the scent(s) to the carrier oil and then soak the cones or sticks in the scent mixture for about 24 hours. Then, you need some place where they can dry (I like hanging mine in trees, weather permitting) for 2 days. After that, you have insence!
Some people like using straight up scents or essential oils, which is totally fine. The only thing is, with carrier oils, you don't have to use as much scent. (Essential oils can be pretty dang pricey!!)
So, there you have it!
Hope that helps!
