DSM and Wild.Rabbit.Ren - like Iamtheparty I was promoted from within the company too so can't predict exactly what your interviews will be like but would just advise you to be yourselves, go in with ideas on how you can help your store become AWESOME and see where that takes you:)
It is knackering at times but I do love my job:) x

Thanks. I'm actually starting to panic now. I hope my blue hair doesn't put them off :? I've dyed it a darker shade, but doesn't look any darker. :oops:

'There is a common misconception about the 'type' of people that work in Lush. In my opinion there is no 'type'! You can be loud, quiet, have 15 different vibrant colours in your hair, or have beautiful natural looks, listen to Madonna or listen to Placebo; it does not matter. As long as you have raw passion for the products and love interacting with new people than you should be working for Lush!" Sonia Saada - Wimbledon'

The above is a quote the company themselves choose to use time and time again to highlight that they accept diversity. Stop getting in a panic and remind yourself of the reasons you are qualified for the position and why you will rock at it. No one is going to hire you if you aren't the first person to believe you deserve the job and you will be wicked at it (imo). Be you and be confident. :)

ETA Bomber- I'm really sorry to hear that. :( I hope you find something you love the idea of even more soon. x

Good luck DSM!

Is anyone buying the perfumes in the fragrance party this year? I'm in 2 minds whether to or not, if it's something I absolutely love I'm going to but I have a million perfumes already so going to try and resist.

DSM - really no need to worry about your hair, mine is purple and I am a Trainee and there are loads of heavily modified folk in managerial positions within the company!

I'm used to "answering to the man" though, my last place I was allowed dreads, but no piercings so still have that thing going on in my head.

Eeeeeee, I'm a little exited for it :D

Just gotta keep doping up on cold medicine & I should be fine!!!

It depends what they release.. is there any info on this yet? I have too much perfume though, so I'd only get one if it was a super amazing fragrance that I love..

Sarah, as Pixie_Junk said, stop worrying about what you look like at the interview! As long as you look clean and tidy you'll be fine, I've seen plenty of people with dreads/piercings/tattoos/coloured hair working in Lush. I get the idea that as long as you're confident, friendly, approachable etc, you'll be fine! There were people at my interview wearing everything from jeans and a tshirt to a suit, I wore black trousers and a fairly casual shirt.

I bought my first ever Lush stuff earlier in the week!

I got the angels on bare skin cleanser and a wiccy massage bar (the cinnamon and mint one with aduki beans). I also got a sample of the solid shampoo, yet to use it. I've been given a trial of the cosmetic lad moisturiser, regardless of the man moisturiser status, it works for my skin and the snow fairy body wash. Snow fairy smells a lot like medicine to me, but it was nice once it lathered up :)

I'm really enjoying the massage bar and cleanser though!

So did anyone order perfumes? I went a little mad and ordered loads, my order consisted of....

Perfumes;
American Cream
Snowcake
Twilight
Black Pearl
Day of the dead
So white (for the mother in law but I may end up buying it off her :lol: )

was sooo tempted to get BIG perfume as well but I'm not overly keen on the smell, it's nice as shampoo but I wasn't certain I'd want to smell of it all day.

3 x Calaveras ballistics

and because the 100g bottles were only £1 each I got;
2 x Forever In Bloom
2 x Chai
2 x Narcotick
2 x Smaragadine
2 x Ibiza Party
2 x Antiphilitron
2 x Okra
2 x Washday Greens
2 x Ice Blue
1 x Blue Skies

again I was very tempted by the old Solid perfumes esp. because thye were only £1 each as well but I resisted, I think I had ordered enough perfume that day :lol:

Oooh, don't know if you guys are aware, well... mainly the ones that were gutted that solid perfumes were discontinued. They're NOT. They've remade them...as the tins were really hard & difficult to use.....so they're now in a lip balm style tube & are a lot softer.

I got new soaps & snow fairy today :D

Ahhhh I should really pay more attention to the forum, I want £1 Chai ;_;

DSM I saw this a while ago! I wish they would do the same with their lip balms, I find it very hard to get the tiniest bit out...

So even the older solid perfumes are in the new form? I've only seen Vanillary and Karma and all the new ones on the website, maybe they haven't made it onto the site yet! :)

No, just the Gorilla Perfumes and Karma and Vanillary. The old B Never too Busy to be Beautiful perfumes are supposed to return in solid form at some point.
