I'd recommend one of the lip scrubs for dry lips. I've always had dry and flaky lips, but a quick scrub with one of the lip scrubs makes them all nice and smoothy soft.

I like Mint Julips best but Lip Dip (the Christmas one) is also lovely

Agreed! For years lip balm just seemed to dry out my lips (except for Vaseline) but then I tried Honey Trap which just smells heavenly and left my lips nice and soft; highly recommended!

Speaking of Lush lip balms; I have a few questions.

Maple Taffy sounds scumscious, but I can't figure out why it is £2.50 in comparison to the regular £4.75 for 10g. Would this have something to do with being a festive item?

I was also wondering if anyone has used Snow Fairy Lip Tint, as I tried It Started With a Kiss but was dissapointed with how bright it seemed to come out. I wondered if SF was the same or more subtle?

Snow Fairy lip tint is really quite subtle, I'd actually like it a little brighter. The products tend to be priced based on the cost of ingredients but the Maple Taffy is still uber cheap. Still, I wouldn't argue, it tastes amazing!!

Yep the Snow Fairy lip tint is more subtle and also more moisturising I think:)

Maple Taffy really is delicious!

Every time I set foot in Lush in Derby, they load me up with free stuff! After my trial today I came away with a Hair Doctor, an Ayesha face mask, samples of both Imperialis and Vanishing Cream, half bottles of both American Cream and Veganese conditioner, and a bar of Angels Delight

Does anyone use 9 To 5 cleanser? I didnt get on with Ultrabland but I need to break my facewipe addiction cos the amount of waste they produce is mental!

I'm about to have an incredibly indulgent bath: a whole gingerbread house bubble bar with TWO Cinders I still have stashed from last year and Glogg to wash with. And I'm taking the latest issue of Total Film in.

Also going to put clean sheets on the bed and get some clean jammies out. I do baths properly.

Sounds awesome :D

I'm trying to decide if dreads to my interview is a good idea or not :?

Mmmmm that was a great bath :) Although the year old Cinders sank like a stone :P

As far as dreads go, I'd take your cues from the current manager. My manager is completely not alternative, in any way. But she wouldn't hold it against an applicant, it just wouldn't sway her toward someone either.

Well, that's cool. I've had interviews in the past, that held my hair colour against me :? I'm gonna leave them out, I think. Knowing what the staff look like, I can always approach the subject if/when I get the job :D

Everyone at Lush Middlesbrough is plain, fresh faced so I think I'll attempt that :D Thank you!!!

Fresh faced seems to be quite popular at Lush, I suppose if you've got good skin from using Lush products then it's extra advertisement for them!

The manager at the Derby branch is a big old goth, so the whole looking like the member of Bauhaus who got lost wasn't too much of a problem

Yeah, we've always been told to "Look like you use the products, not like you need to!" :P

In all seriousness though, Lush products transformed my skin. I used to be an oily mess and now I actually get compliments on my skin quite often, so I can talk with absolute confidence about how awesome the skincare is :)

I have pretty decent skin, compared to a few years ago. I love the lush stuff, I should really use more if their skin products.

I think I know who the manager is at my local one. If it is who I think it is, then that's great. Cos she is lovely!! :D No one wears a name badge....it's like they're all Buddhists!

Congratulations! Hope it goes well for you. :)

& 9-5 Cleanser is really lovely- much better than face wipes and lovely and calming. I use it before Aqua Marina & Vanishing cream.

Hopefully people who work there or have applied before can help me here i recently applied for a fulltime job at lush & iv been called back for an interview was just wandering what the interview process is like? Any interview tips would also be great :)

Any help would be appreciated. i would much rather work for a company i have a passion for the products than my current company who dont give a dam about anyone.

At mine, they did a circle of death thing, where you introduce yourself, then we got to play with the products for a while, then each did a demo, so chances are it'll be similar to that.

Just be friendly, chatty, know the products, most importantly don't be shy! Volunteer for stuff!

yay!!! i just order my haul of the x-mass stuff...

am so looking forward to glogg (the drink that i soooo love every christmass), maple taffy that sounded so yummy that i had to have it & mandarin's tea party .
i also ordered some older stuff; 17 cherry tree lane soap, orange blossom solid perfume ( i <3 neroli scented stuff) & it started with a kiss...

i try to order around the methylparaben-stuff, but i do love my lush stuff so once in a while i give in and gets me some nice lush treats.
