Foundation

Heyloo my lovelies, well I want to hear all of your reviews on foundations!
I've been using The Body Shop oil balancing one for around 2 years and it just isn't cutting it anymore :(
It's starting to look a bit caked on my skin but I have to apply layers to get coverage.
I have typical teenage skin, acne prone, red, blotchy, oily and huuuuuuge pores :(

-Must have great coverage
-Can't be too expensive (but not a cheap-o crappy brand either)
-Must not be tested on animals
-Must be able to last for AGES and have little/no transfer
-Must be acne friendly ^.^

Has anyone tried the Bnever foundations? (sister company of Lush)
They look yummy but I can't spend that amount of money and just guess a shade because there aren't any B shops closeby unfortunately :(

I heard that M-A-C foundations can feel heavy and clog pores, is this true?

Thanks m'dears :) xx

I use a mac foundation and don't find it heavy or pore clogging. They do different ones, if you go in (or to the counter) they can talk to you about the different ones and suggest one which might be suitable

I use Benefits 'non fiction' liquid foundation which is great. It feels really light and goes on really easily, smells great too! I use it most days and my skin seems to have got a lot better after switching to it. I have the palest one and it actually is pale, it won't turn you orange which is good :)

A third for MAC, here. I use studio fix fluid for the days where I want lots of coverage, and I use a tinted moisturizer for the lighter days. MAC is the best, imho. :D

I just brought MAC studio fix fluid and I already love it. I did have the powder form but I found it didn't last as long as I hoped it would.

I would also advise against surrealist skin by urban decay. Much as i love their other stuff this one sucked, for me at least. It was expensive, hard to apply and made my skin feel sticky

Giorgio Armani Luminous silk. It has a medium coverage and is oil free. A light texture on the skin and requires very little powder to set it. £28 too.

I recently bought Krylolan foundation - the colour is good (a little paler than my skin, which is what i want), slightly heavier coverage than i had been using, but a nice smooth finish which seems to last well. I use it with Lancane as primer underneath.

Laura Mercier Silk Creme or Oil-Free.
I switched from MAC to the Silk Creme and I'm hooked. MAC was too dark for me, and I found it very heavy and almost sticky on my skin. The Laura Mercier is buildable and feels like a powder it's so light. I don't even have to use concealor for my eye circles or for any redness because this just covers it so flawlessly.

Maybe go to a department store near you and ask for samples? That's how I chose the LM one - I tried at least 6 different foundations first, and they were all samples I got from David Jones (big Dept. Store here in AUS)
