Eye Cream

Post by zaahn » Mon Aug 25, 2008 1:22 pm

Hey guys,

I have a bit of trouble with bags under my eyes and was wondering if anybody has any recommendations for eye creams? I've only tried the lush eye cream but think I might need something, erm, much stronger!

I dont wear any make up really but was thinking that if I cant find something to stop the bags does anybody know of any under eye concealers that I could use without having to apply any foundation or powder??

well i'm not much of a foundation user either... only recently have i tried something new.

here's my long-time regimen - i use clinique anti-gravity firming lift cream just on my bags. it seems to keep them at a minimum. it's about 40-50 bucks for a jar, but it lasts me literally a year if i just use it there. just a thin coating. you can use it multiple times a day too, it's a great moisturizer. when my eyes are really dark, i just bust out some concealer, and blend it really really well.

just last week, though, i ordered some "eraser" from pureluxe. i'm sure i read about it on the old board. this stuff is awesome, and AND her whipped foundation is so super light, i can wear it. and i hate foundation. i'm really happy with it, and i bet it might work for you (the eraser foundation combo with the cream) if you're willing to give it a go...
i'm makin headlines like a courdory pillow...

I have permanent dark circles under my eyes and all I can say is, don't bother with Eyecon by Benefit. I used it religiously day and night for 6 months and nothing changed.

Get something with caffeine in it.
MAC Fast Response Eye Cream is fantastic. I use that and follow up with Clinique All About Eyes Rich. The only problem with caffeine based eye treatments is that they're not the best at moisturising so you need to leave it 5 minutes and follow it up with a moisturising cream.

If you don't want to fork out for the MAC one, cold tea bags on the eyes for 15 minutes works a treat too.

i've heard of using hemorrhoid cream. in theory it should work considering what it's made for

Didn't they try it on How to Look Good Naked last week?
I think the conclusion from it was that none of them work they just moisterise your eyes.
