Post by MissLove » Mon Nov 21, 2011 6:14 pm

Have any of you pale girls out there found a good makeup for pale skin?

im currently using mac nc or nw 15 and they're far too dark but any lighter shade i've found elsewhere has been bad quality.. recommendations? x

i'm using bb-cream at the moment and i actually really like it, it keeps my skin soft and it's not too cakey, doesn't get dry and is quite light, as in won't cover too much. plus it smells like water melon :D ahaha. but seriously, i'm also having trouble finding makeup which isn't too dark or make my skin weird, but this is sooo nice. i just combine it with powder.

I've been using Lush's colour suppliment as a foundation as of late and found the coverage to be excellent. I use light yellow, being fairly pale, but there is another, even lighter one out in the UK called "Jackie Oates". It's for true fair skin with the pink undertones.

Sounds it, which are you using? I use Skin Base and I don't think I'll ever use another foundation again.

I love Meow mineral foundation - it comes in over 80 shades (!!!), 3 different coverages, is cheap, and good for your skin ;)

It just sometimes takes a bit of sampling to find the right shade, since there are so many to choose from!

Thirded meowcosmetics. I was shocked that I'm the third shade up from the lightest because I've never met anyone paler than I am.

Me too! I thought I'd be the lightest ... but Meow's lightest is *VERY* light ;)
That's why it's important to buy some $1 samples to try them out.

Has anyone used any of the Dainty Doll range since it has been re-released. Nicola Roberts from Girls aloud brought it out a few years back then it went off the market for a bit. I noticed about a month ago it was back at Boots. Its a specific range for very pale skin. It seems a little pricey so I would expect it to be good, but that is not always the case of course.

The foundation is £22 for example, so rivals MAC and Illamsqua in price.

I am pretty pale. I use Loreal on most days, and Smashbox when I can afford it. I ADORE Smashbox but it is quite pricey.

I could never find a foundation from MAC that matched my skin (palest was too dark) so decided to try Urban Decay - their compact foundation was a little too dark but their liquid foundation matched my skin perfectly! I really recommend it. :i2: It goes on nicely, especially when you blend it in with a brush. It hasn't made my skin feel odd either like some foundations can.

This has got to be the palest I've come by that's so cheap!

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Laval-Secret-Be ... crets+opal

It cost me £1.75 from my local knock off market stall which was awesome, it's lasted me months already

Only downfall is that its a light cover foundation so it feels a tad cakey lapping loads of layers on.
but hey you can't complain for that price :)
P.s I'm like ghosty alabaster skin tone and it's perfect x
