Natural dreads show-off; tons of pictures!

Post by Gracey » Sat Oct 03, 2009 4:03 pm

I hope this is in the right place; it isn't fake hair so I'm posting it in the natural dreads section rather than the main show-off. Apologies for the hassle if it needs to be moved.

Er yes, I LOVE natural dreads. Final shout, one of mine taken in August before I dyed them again!

Thanks for looking! xx

The second dreads, the RED ones, are to die for! So freaking lovely.

What are some of those dreads wrapped in? Just thread?

Thanks so much for showing these, you do lovely work! I especially love the up-do with the flowers and yarn. Would love to see an updated pic of your dreads, all freshly dyed ;)

The only ones with any thread are my biker friend Alex, and I didn't do that. He has had his few for a long time and I've been tending them lately; putting the few synths in and giving the dreads some tlc. I think you are looking at the dreadfix pics; the twine-like bits are the loose hair that comes off the dread, scuffed together in my fingers and then crocheted in.

I loved that one too! it was her wedding day and her dress was red so after fixing her dreads I added in some various red yarns and some strips of red sequins. The updo is just the same thing most of us do in the shower with a few flowers poked into it.
Sadly, my own dreads have been neglected for a bit and I need to do some maintenance before I photograph it. One of the downsides of dealing with dreads all day, never having time to do my own! :) xx

Beautiful! I love that gentleman's wedding dreads, the combo of real and synth is lovely.
I wish that time would stand still,
if this was part of a film
we would watch the clip all day,
like a portrait of you and I...
