The dread perm technique??

I saw these amazing dreads - and just love the curls.
Does anybody know how they are made???

I can't be exactly sure, but those look like the type which are backcombed/palm-rolled and the wrapped around a perm rod (looks like a larger diameter, to me) and then hit with perm solution and neutralizer.

The curls are really pretty, but as the dreads mature the curl relaxes significantly.

I would think you could get that curl with those loc curler things.
Thats the only method I know of so far
