Random little tip for dreadheads

Post by Abbychan » Sun Apr 26, 2009 10:22 pm

I personally don't have REAL dreads (Got a big pile of blue and purple synth on my head though :]), but one of my friends (who just finished her first set of synths, gonna install them on her next week 8D) who's friend recently got real dreads suggested that she use a hair straightener to tighten her dreads a bit more. I guess she twisted them tighter while she used her hair straightener, and lo and behold, they turned out all twisty looking, just like synthetic dreads! Looks pretty cool, for anyone who like the twisted look of synths, I'd love to see some of you guys try it out. :]

piccies?

I thought about trying that...but I don't particularly like the twisted look of synths. I would do it more to flatten down the frizzy bits that my crochet needle isn't catching ^_^

I do this on my clients with dreads that aren't fully matured, and it works like a charm to keep them looking tidy and styled!
