Hi guys!
I have a set of brand new pink Human hair extensions, but the pink is ever so slightly too dark for me. How can I go about lightening it without destroying the extensions? I have heard about just using 40 vol developer for a few hours, no bleach. Has anyone tried that?

Try giving them a wash with clarifying shampoo, before you resort to bleach?

I agree with Shadow. Try vigorously shampooing with clarifying shampoo to see if you can fade it a bit. Let us know if that works. If not, maybe a gentle bleach bath would do it.

Re: Lightening Human Hair Extensions slightly
Actually, I need some tips bleaching extensions as well (since I'm a newbie to these kinds of things). I bought some nice light orange extensions for my mom as a gift, but now I need to lighten them a bit (maybe stripes?) so that they match her current blonde/dirty blonde mix. Just wondering how long I can bleach them for, regardless of them stated being "human hair"...? I guess clarifying shampoo won't help here.
