Two-tone, different color underneath?

Post by nyxed » Tue Nov 22, 2011 6:30 pm

Hi again guys!

I've been considering doing my hair black on top and another color underneath, possibly red or purple (hoping this will cause less scandal at work than just going full-on purple or bright red...). Does anyone have pics of this style and/or tips for how to do it effectively?

Thanks!

Prepare for pic-spam because I love my hair:

For application, section out your hair and dye the top half first, that way if any dye runs it's not going to ruin the color underneath. Then bleach and apply the bottom color.

Dreadstar, I love it! :D Thanks for all the pics. Did you do it yourself or have it done at a salon? Did you intentionally leave bits at the front all dark, or does it just look dark in the front when the top part of your hair comes forward? (My spatial skills are not so awesome, so I'm still trying to figure out the logistics of dying strategically XD)
