Neon Orange to Neon Pink!

Post by LizSherman » Thu Aug 21, 2008 10:53 pm

Herrow again hair board!
Typically, I changed my hair just as the old board went down so my source of advice was stripped from me! XDD
My hair is currently neon orange, this is a result from putting smart colours in carmine pink over dark purple previously henna'd hair. The outcome is pretty awesome, if i'm honest, but I am looking to be neon pink.
This is my colour now...

The pictures aren't really doing it justice, it really is very neon and it's actually a bit lighter than that!
I'm looking to be this sort of colour...

So nice n' rich and neon!
I've been AP over orange before and it went bright, but the orange was a lot paler and as you can see, my hair's condition isn't awesome right now so i'm cautious to bleach again!

Any advice is loved <3

Your hair doesn't really look to be in bad shape to me. I've been dyeing Atomic Pink for years now (it's my current color, mixed with a purple shade - forgot the name tho) and have learned that you really do need to bleach down to pretty much white to get the color you want. I wish it was easier - I'm a natural blonde and if I put the dye on my virgin roots it ends up muddy/dull and washes out very quickly.

Awh dang... I was hoping as it had worked over an orange before I wouldn't have to do too much. Maybe my hair was just being flukey then? I'm dead paranoid about damaging my hair further, i'm trying sooo hard to grow it XD

I wonder what the results will be, since you said that your hair was henna'd.

The henna is pretty much bleached out now :) It was done over already dyed hair so removal is normally a lot easier than it is on virgin hair!
