Re: The "What I Wore Today" Thread!
I dress boring.
And this picture is crappy and a goofy pose..
But oh well, here's me tonight.
Jeans from Target, shirts from Wal-Mart - tank tops underneath were $3 each and the black shirt over top was $5. It was rainy today, hence the dampness on the heels of my jeans.

Re: The "What I Wore Today" Thread!
I'm loving this thread
I'm not showing off what I'm wearing today cos I'm currently slobbing around the house in one of the very few pairs of trousers I have that still fit atm..
So here're some old outfits I've worn..
Hippy girly in Wales..
That's a dress I got as part of a swap for some hair & other bits.. and a little knitted green cardi thing that I seem to have had forever.
One of my favourite tops.. which doesn't fit atm
It's from ASDA, would you believe?!
Old pic - hippy girl again..
M&S skirt, same knitted cardi thing as before.. I seem to live in those things.
These are more "everyday" type looks.. (from before preggo-ness)
I love that butterfly-print top in the first pic.. layered under a lacey black top, with another little wrap cardi type thing.
The second pic is just plain black stuff (those lovely tight black jeans.. mmm) with a green checked shirt from H&M, plus my great big superboots ^_^
And the maternity jeans I've been practically living in for the past month..
I REALLY need more than one pair of maternity jeans.. none of my old trousers or skirts fits me any more
So yeah, I tend to wear either brightly coloured, plastic-y neon stuff, slightly gothy black with one or two colours added.. or natural, green hippy type stuff O_o
Agh, this is making me miss being able to wear all my old things
That is just the cutest little dress! I love it ^_^ANNloses wrote:

Just to let you know I saw at the craft store what was basically a belly band that you sew onto on to your jeans after snipping off the original waist band, pretty cheep around $5

Thanks Would you believe it's from asda as well just like rhaeniel's snoopy top(which I love btw!!!) I love that all these cute little characters are popular, makes finding clothes alot easier. The films you can see in the pic are just a few of our collection we have 12 6ft shelves packed with dvds, we have boxes full, they are stacked up on the floor as well, my husband's addiction is films and I love them too so we have a stupid amount of them, it's one of the reasons we are buying a bigger house, all the films & memorabilliaWild.Rabbit.Ren wrote:Love your hello kitty top & gotta say is that your film collection behind you its massive!

Re: The "What I Wore Today" Thread!
Thanks hon, but I already have some of those thingies.. I use them atm just as tummy supports on their own - I can't bring myself to ruin an old pair of jeans! I don't have many pairs of jeans as it is, but even if I did, my thighs have got bigger too so all my old ones won't fit even if I took off the waistband.Bettedaviseyes wrote:Just to let you know I saw at the craft store what was basically a belly band that you sew onto on to your jeans after snipping off the original waist band, pretty cheep around $5
All this stuff about just buying your previous size in maternity wear is complete rubbish! My lungs have increased their size because I'm breathing for two, so my bras have gone up two back sizes already - luckily the cups are keeping up, but it means I'm the same cup size as before, only in a larger back size! It's quite annoying... As for jeans, I've always been a 16, but in maternity jeans I'm an 18. That's cos your ligaments relax and stretch, increasing the width of your hips. So, I'm having to buy maternity clothes in a size larger than I was before, and maternity bras in at least two back sizes bigger!
Eeee! I have that dress ^_^ It's lovely, especially with that yellow petticoat underneathCherryLex wrote:This is a pic from last night, I just had to wear my new Collectif dress and new crinoline my momma found for me at a thrift shop (only $6!) - it's pure love:

I still haven't worn mine tho I got preggers before my mum got round to taking it in for me, so we're gonna have to wait until later next year so I know what my 'normal' size will be, after having this little one!

Re: The "What I Wore Today" Thread!
I actually have a picture of what I wore today! Craziness.
Lately I've sort of been channeling a strange combination of steampunk bag lady, Helena Bonham Carter, and mid-90's Seattle grunge without the plaid. So lots of layers and mismatching.
(But when I actually went out I wore those purple & black striped socks with giant black logging boots.)
Pictured to my right is my newest dread creations, will take showoff pics of them in the snow tomorrow!
I snagged some little light-up LED christmas light necklaces from my mom, but they cried out to be hair accessories:
My earrings are also vintage silver christmas tree shapes, but you can't see them very well. My mother is a treasure trove of wacky jewelry!

Your hair is gorgeous! What dye did you use to get that shade of purple?
Did you have to bleach first?

Anyway, back on topic, I love this thread . I'd post my outfits but I fear I dont dress that interestingly enough now its winter, it's all thick tights and frumpish woolen things

Re: The "What I Wore Today" Thread!
Thanks everyone!
Guess I should say, for the record:
Skirt: GWC (I think?) Bought on sale at Fred Meyer's, a "bargain" department store.
Undershirt: One of those awesome super cheap shirts that Target sells at Halloween but I wear all year round!
Vest: Thrift store, no brand.
Zombie's on the money, I use SFX Deep Purple + a streak of green in my fringe.
I agree, it is the BEST color but it's so expensive.
I have very dark brown hair naturally so I do bleach, I also bleach and dye my eyebrows when I'm not too lazy.

How well does deep purple last, if I may be so crass to ask in this thread?
