1) Nice clear pic of the hair- we are not particularly interested in cam whoring - you want to show yourself off - put it in the gallery for 'everything else'.
2) When commenting - please be more OT than "wow you are freakin' hot!" We all like to be told we are hot mamma's - but mention the hair too!
3) Please don't be horrified if people give you helpful criticism. If you give criticism, please do so respectfully.
4) If you would like to NOT hear criticism, please say so.
5) If you are specifically looking to refine your technique, please post it in the "Critique" section (under Advice & Know How) so we can help be extra picky. ;)

Refugee Roving Oi!

Post by miasmahair » Mon May 16, 2011 5:45 am

Hey hey board friends, how's it hanging?
Right, so, a wee showoff I think! Been doing a few wee bits here and there, we're still playing refugees down with my parents, so I haven't really had much wool or equipment to play with, but here's a few wee bits!

First, some natural SEs for a shop in town that does real dreads for people, who wanted some singles as accents.

Image

Image

And some singles for MichelleBichos, which you've already seen installed, and looking awesome!

Image

The last set from my deal, for Kandiihaar. I used merino for the plain brown side by mistake, and my GOD they would not felt. Simply would not felt. Numerous trips through the washing machine and hours of hand-felting later, finally got them done (and she was very patient, bless her!)

Image

Image

Image

And some singles for PlasticHair in my new NEW technique of wrappy swirls.

Image

Image

And a little set of premade naturals in dyed brown to pink with a few candycane wraps.

Image

Image

And lastly, my most recent set. I was going for a wrappy natural look. I let the ends go all forky, which I don't think I'll do again, but hey, that's what experimenting on yourself is for, right?

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

And look at them fly!

Image

And I think that's everything! Cheers for looking :D

the wrappies are orgasmic!
I have to admit, I read this as "refugee roving oil" and I was like ? I don't see anything to do with oil. WTF is roving oil? Roving oil made by refugees? 0_o

I'm not a terribly huge fan of wool dreads (they make me itch anyway. lol) but all of these are absolutely beautiful. Those wrappy swirl dreads look almost like synth dreads. Gorgeous colors, too. :)
