Since it's near xmas, maybe make gingerbread men?? They always remind me of winter/xmas.

And I second the glitter idea, you can never have too much glitter. ^_^
Turn it up real loud, and let the base line shout...

have a lil campfire you can sit round! failing that a disposable bbq would do the trick... and melt marshmallows over it, then squash them between chocolate biscuits... mmm...

+1. Fire melted marshmellows FTW.
Or, a third fire related option, a Chiminea?
Image

My mate had a outside party and had a fire going in a metal frame ...bin... for want of a better word.
It had a metal base and sides but the sides went metal stripe - space - metal strip - space, and it didn't have a top on it.
This description is not helpful.
Basically it contained the fire :P
Like a chiminea but it was a lot more open.
Kept us warm.

Oh, and if marshmellows are present then hot chocolate should be too!
Also, if you have a gazebo you could hang fairy lights around the top of it!
And blankeys, luff my blankey for keeping me warm

My thought about the quilts is... won't they get damp?

I like the ideas of gingerbread and marshmallows

You definitely need some lanterns and/or flares

I always think chilli is a wintery option for outdoor eating. Jacket potatoes?

you could have sparklers too. Might need to buy them around bonfire night and save them until your b'day.

Def sounds like fun :)
telling it like it is!
