Vaping and E-Cigarettes

So, I was just wondering who else vapes and uses e-cigarettes around here? I have used Blu Cigs in the past, but got tired of their faulty batteries so now I am onto V2 and Volt X2. My favorite flavors right now are menthol, cotton candy, coffee & cream, marshmallow, and honeysuckle tobacco. I order all my juice from Blue Mist Vaping. I'd love to hear from others :) And a pic of my small collection.

That's a large collection!

The atomisers on mine both died, so I switched to a clearomiser but shortly after one of the batteries died. I don't like having to buy replacements every 6 weeks or so. So I've given up with them.

I'm gonna get a disposable one for work when it gets busy later this year.

I'll let you know how my new set up goes. I think the X2 with clearomizer will be pretty good. It's big, but has an 8 hour charge so that's fair. Also, it only cost me USD30 for the bat, a charger, and clearomizer.

My club sells Lotus e-cigs, I bought the menthol while cutting out smokes (I only smoke at work... my work persona must have an addictive personality lol) but they made me sick :/ I was getting migranes. I wasn't much of a fan of the taste either... more dry mint then menthol-y if that makes any sense at all.

Each brand has it's own flavors, so if you're still interested in E-Cigs don't give up on them. It's all about finding what works best for you.

I know very little about such things but am very interested. Someone should enlighten me. :)

Asking questions will help Krissy. Emily may know more than me, but I'd like to think I know enough to "get by"

Think of an e-cig as a tiny little fog machine. Put juice in, heat it up, vapor comes out. There are 4 main components.

1) The battery which powers it.
2) The cartomizer which screws into the end of the battery.
3) The juice, found inside the cartomizer, which actually turns into the vapor.
4) The pack, which recharges the batteries on the go.

The juice is made of 4 main components
1) Water
2) Propylene Glycol or Vegetable Glycol (PG and VG haven been used in inhalers for years)
3) Flavoring
4) Nicotine

With all juice, you can choose how much nicotine it has in it, you can even get 0 nicotine so there's none.

Starter kits cost anywhere from $60 to $150 here in the USA. Any questions?

Oh aye & the nicotine content in them is the same as an entire packet of tabs, I persoanlly go for 8 or 12mg liquid - which is similar to the tabs I smoke. Higher content nicotine taste more like yuk so the flavour is lost. My personal fave is tiramisu, followed by green cow.

There are atomisers, clearomisers, & vaporisers aswell as cartomisers. You DO need to replace parts, buying one isn't it, they do break after a while.

the one I'm after to replace mine is here:
http://www.ecigwizard.com/shop/en/elect ... o-kit.html I might just buy the battery though, as my clearomiser is fine.

I also want to try the redbull flavour, I think that'll be awesome.

If anyone is looking to start out I suggest http://www.V2cigs.com They are a little pricier than other brands, but all the parts come with a lifetime guarantee. If you're wanting to move into more serious vaping, a big bat like the Volt X2 available fromhttp://www.smokelessimage.com may be more your style. There are countless brands and types out there, and reviews of them out the ying-yang, so it's all about doing some research to figure it all out.

Agreed. I've heard great things about the Lava tube, but the cost is pretty high & I'll be honest, I'm not 100% sold on vaping yet, I was but then I got annoyed with forking out a lot of money, only to have to buy new bits 4 weeks later.

For the guys in the UK, I use these: https://www.ecigwizard.com/shop/ < Paran0ir recommended them to me, I then found http://www.juicycigs.co.uk/ for clearomisers & things, & then for liquid, I tend to buy them from http://www.ecigsoutlet.co.uk/

Emily you're such a rockstar. :P

I'm really just looking for an option that won't be as terrible for me as the cigarettes I've picked up again due to ridiculous stress levels. My son deserves better than me willingly killing myself so's I don't kill everyone else! Anyway I just like smoking. I can live without the drug, but the action is one of my favorite things ever. ^_^

Thanks so much for the mini-rundown!

For someone that would enjoy say, one a day, what would you ball-park-estimate in cost?

The initial set up cost is the most after that its just buying replacement parts. Juice can be really cheap, apparently one ml is the same as a 20 deck & will last a normal smoker all day.

For $20 + shipping you can get one battery, one charger, and two cartomizers (menthol or tobacco) from smokelessimage.com right here> http://smokelessimage.com/starter-kits.html (comes with 1 month warranty)

Looking for a big battery that lasts all day? It'll run you about $40-$50 for the setup.
Try the Volt X2 from smokeless image (here: http://smokelessimage.com/x2-volt-battery.html) $19.99
with a clearomizer (here: http://smokelessimage.com/filter-tips/v ... mizer.html) $6.45
and your choice of juice (from here: http://smokelessimage.com/refill-liquid.html) $13.95

I have never tried Smokeless image juice, so I cannot vouch for it. I buy all my juice from http://www.BlueMistVaping.com. One of my favorite flavors right now is Cotton Candy, and if you like flowers, I suggest Honeysuckle Tobacco.

Any other questions?

EDIT to add:
Very happy with my purple 650 mah automatic X2 with purple clearomizer!

I have been called a hipster for smoking an ecig. I know, how stupid right? Jokes on them cause I don't stink anymore! lol But one thing I will mention is My hubby and I have had our credit card info stolen TWICE from 2 different ecig online sellers. (and so have a lot of other people) So we always buy our juice with a prepaid walmart card. Just figured I would mention that in case anyone finds it useful. I would name names but I honestly cant keep track of how many shops we have tried. And my husband usually does the ordering anyways. As far as flavors go Im usually fond of any peach flavors. I keep trying coffee flavors by different brands but it seems to be real hit or miss with those, Sometimes they end up really thick and nasty. I don't like thick dark juices, they seem to eat up my filters. I usually smoke a peach flavor or a random tobacco. My husband likes Cinnabomb. It's very hard hitting and menthol-y but cinnamon flavored. It's very good!

I was wondering if I could get suggestions from people that use e cigs. I am living with my mom so we can help each other out, but she is a smoker and I am not. The smoke is killing me, so I bribed her into trying e cigs. She is a stubborn old bat (goodness love her) that has been smoking Marlboros her entire life. If you aren't familiar with Marlboro, they are super strong and VERY smelly. (No offense to Marlboro fans, but they are quite distinctive). Anyhow, I can't see my mom trying something super sweet or fruity. Are there any e cigs anyone could recommend that taste and smoke very similar to a regular cigarrette?

V2Cigs has a flavor intended to taste like Marlboros. V2 says about their Red flavor:

"V2 Red is our classic American tobacco blend. Hearty Virginia tobacco flavor, with a hint of sweetness; this bold flavor is a top seller. Red cartridges are available in 4 strengths: Full (18), Med (12), Light (6), and Zero (0) and come in a patriotic shade of red. If you are fan of Marlboro, Pal-Mal, Winston, Basic, Lucky Strike, Doral, and Chesterfield, V2 Red is for you."

PS I've not smoked a regular cigarette since July 5th.
I've not smoked over 3,000 cigarettes.
I've saved over $500 by using the e-cig and not regular smokes.
