ANGRY BEAVERS.
Am seriously considering getting a tattoo of Daggett. I honestly think it's one of my favourite all-time tv shows
Also: Raggy Dolls, Raggy Dolls! Dolls like you and me! Raggy Dolls, Raggy Dolls! Made imperfectly!
I grew up in they heyday of ABC after-school TV shows so my afternoons consisted of Sesame Street, Playschool, Trap Door, Art Attack (Oh god ART ATTACK. Neil Buchanan is so adorable and I swear I must have tried at least one thing from each episode) Aah! Real Monsters, Hey Arnold, Fireman Sam, Postman Pat, Bump In The Night...Oh god the list goes on and on and on and pretty much mentions everything already posted
Oh and the Animals Of Farthing Wood too.
Does anyone remember The Dream Stone? With Rufus and Amberly and those weird green things that flew about on leaves? Yeah, I liked that one too.

Re: Childhood Cartoons and TV Shows
It's not much of a life when you're just a pretty face,
Just to be whoever you are is no disgrace,
Don't be scared if you don't fit in,
Look who's in the reject bin!
It's the Raggy Dolls, Raggy Dolls, Dolls like you and me,
Raggy Dolls, Raggy Dolls made imperfectly,
So if you got a bump on your nose or a lump on your toes,
Do not despair,
Be like the Raggy Dolls, and say I just don't care,
'Cause Raggy Dolls, Raggy Dolls,
Are happy just to be,
Raggy Dolls, Raggy Dolls,
Dolls like you and me!
Thats prob the truest lyrics ever ......

I used to love Spongebob until my freshman year in college, where the girl in the dorm room next to mine insisted drowning out her.. um.. social life with the males of the species.. with Spongebob DVDs. Now I associate Spongebob with the scary things I heard through the walls every day.lauziemoo wrote:i know its more recent but gotta love SPONGEBOB SQUARE PANTS!!

Who here remembers the Shoe People?!
To begin with, a dog is not mad. you see a dog growls when it's angry, and wags its tail when it's pleased. Now I growl when I'm pleased, and wag my tail when I'm angry. Therefore I am mad.

I'm an 80's kid. We had it good when it came to cartoons. Have you seen some of the crap they have on now? It's sad how lame everything is (minus two or three shows).

Totally agreeLifeDeathRebirth wrote:I'm an 80's kid. We had it good when it came to cartoons. Have you seen some of the crap they have on now? It's sad how lame everything is (minus two or three shows).
I'm not an 80's kid, but we had a load of old VCR's of 80's cartoons from my aunt, I used to love watching them, I watched all the series of most of the ones I mentioned.
I also really enjoyed most of the 90's cartoons which was more my time, the ones today really dont compare in the slightest.
I watch Cartoon Network and Nickleodeon for the re-runs, but the new cartoons are just abominable =[

Re: Childhood Cartoons and TV Shows
could it be that you have just grown up? I watched a bit of dangermouse not so long ago and was shocked at just how bad it was! I used to love it as a kid. I think the only programme that has stood the test of time for me is trapdoor!!LifeDeathRebirth wrote:I'm an 80's kid. We had it good when it came to cartoons. Re: Childhood Cartoons and TV Shows
not all cartoons have stood the test of time but a few have!
trapdoor is definitely one of them - as i said cities of gold is wicked if you can get over the relatively bad voice acting the story is brilliant!
plus who could forget REN & STIMPY!!! altho i suppose that' more 90s
and garfield - that's still brilliant - shame on the CGI generation
new cartoons-wise i like foster's home for imaginary friends
and dexter's lab, dee-dee is my idol!!
(not that new but never mind)

I don't think that's it at all. I love cartoons, but I don't care for most of the new stuff. They really need to put all of the oldies but goodies on DVD.fustmuffin wrote:ould it be that you have just grown up?
