When I say I don't particularly like children, people always say "well YOU were a kid once!"

Image

How does that make sense as a comeback? I didn't say I didn't like BEING a kid, actually BEING a kid is fantastic. I said I don't like being AROUND kids. I'm sure I would have found my 2 year old self just as irritating as I find 2 year olds now.

Regardless of whether YOU think I'm less than human because I don't want children or not, that logic just doesn't make sense.

That my steamer seems to be broken.
I would've had only two orders to complete (and after finishing them I wouldn't even need the damn machine!), and now I'm completely in trouble. New one, the same model, costs about 159€ and the cheaper handheld model (which I don't know if I can even get it locally) about 100€. To buy a new steamer that expensive for two dread orders?? God damn it. I'm really in trouble.

I just dropped my felting needle into a large tub of murky, scalding hot, full-of-wool dread felting water :| dammit.
Time to build a fishing rod out of a magnet, blutac and a chopstick.

This isn't what grinds my gears though. What really grinds my gears is that this isn't the first time I've done it!!!

the top 10 gear-grinders for me would be:

10~People who try to train my dog the way they want, not they way he is being trained.
9~Nail Polish, cuz it looks all pretty and then after a day it chips and I'm all saaad :(
8~Mouth ulcers,cuz you aren't supposed to play with them...but I just can't help it >.<
7~T-Shirts that randomly fall down a little bit and show the top of your bra off. They attack by surprise!
6~People that start chatting to you on the bus when you've got your iPod in,as if they can't see it.
5~Movies,because you can be watching one,and then you think it would be soooooo much better if one of the characters did something differently, and everyone else agrees, but you just know you can't change it.
4~When you get a capsule toy and you can't open the capsule >m<
3~Vending machines that don't give you change.
2~People that shout at their children for no reason,I mean, they only know what their parents teach them! Poor souls.
1~People who fish for compliments. That reeeeeally bugs me.

Rant over xD

I dont completely agree with this.. I mean I do to an extent.. But then there are those girls who are overly provocative in how they dress and then say "Im not a slut, im just comfortable with my body"

Great, im glad you're "comfortable" with your body. But dressing in such skimpy clothing and posing in provocative ways just screams "I"m insecure, i pose half naked so people notice me!"

Posing naked with your legs spread isn't classy either..

I get where you're coming from, for sure. But I'm talking more about people who are models and do it professionally and genuinely nice, gorgeous girls who aren't "trying to be sexy." And people who post makeup looks, etc.

And I guess it depends on your personal opinion, too. I don't feel that clothing makes you slutty, its how you behave. Two identical girls could be wearing identical string bikinis, and depending on how they act one could come off sexy and one "slutty." Also, I just enjoy seeing scantily clad women. I guess I'm biased

Which reminds me of how much I hate the word "slut." There isn't a male counterpart. I think its fucked up that a woman who enjoys sex or flirts or dresses provocatively is labeled a slut, while a man who does the same thing is "just being a guy" or even cooler for it. I'm not trying to argue or anything, it just came to mind.

Thats exactly what i mean, I dislike the girls who pose in overly provocative ways, and try too hard to look Seductive when they really just are looking trashy. Wearing a thong and laying on your bed with your ass up in the air isnt seductive. thats like, softcore porn xD

I dunno, I personally only wear "skimpy" clothes when I'm feeling good about myself and want to show off. When I feel fat and ugly I won't even bother with make up and I'll just wear jeans and a t-shirt that covers my belly. But if I feel like I look good, only then will I wear the fishnet shirt and short skirt with stockings, etc. It's not to get the attention, per se, it's because I feel like I actually deserve it. If that makes sense. If I feel ugly, someone telling me I'm pretty doesn't change how I feel. So I don't fish for compliments. If I say I feel fat, it's because I do. Not because I want someone to go "oh nooo. you're not fat!" so I can go, "Oh, ok, thanks!"

I know there are plenty of people who dress provocatively just for the attention and possibly because they feel so low about themselves they think that any kind of attention is better than none, but that's not everyone. If I'm wearing something sexy and someone compliments me, I dont go, "Oh, no, I look like shit. teehee." I smile proudly and thank them because I agree.

Yes! Thats exactly what I was thinking but I couldn't put it in words. Not everyone who dresses in skimpy clothes does so for attention. Personally, I don't like my face at all and it's been made fun of relentlessly my whole life, but I know I have a pretty decent body-if-I-do-say-so-myself. Most of the time I walk around feeling kind of ugly because all you can see is my face, but when I get a chance to "show off" my body I sure as hell am because hey, I'm not all that bad actually! I AM a girl! It usually shocks people and catches them off guard to see me in a bathing suit. Not that I'm bragging about having some kind of amazing super model material bod, but it's not so bad.

I really hate it when people can't decide what they want from you. They bitch and gripe when you're down on yourself because "you're just looking for attention" but if you go, "I'm effin hot today!" they complain that you're so full of yourself. It's like, really?! When I feel like shit I'm wrong, and when I like myself I'm wrong. I have to wonder how badly they feel about themselves when all they can do is find something to complain about with me.

Having my boss tell me I'm doing a great job and I'll be on the team for a long time. Then getting a phone call a few hours before my shift and told I'm fired, with no reason to accompany that decision.

Being out of work.

My boyfriend also being out of work since his place of business closed in June and he hasn't been able to find anything yet.

The feeling of complete and utter failure.

Ugh!

vkontakte.ru and the russian braiders/dreaders who have absolutely no idea of copyright. Once I get couple of photos out of there I find two new dreaders more using my (and several other's) photos. There's so many that I don't even bother to report them here anymore, and there just keeps coming more. Most of them don't give shit about my rant to remove my photos, they just remove my comments and ban me.

Racist assholes masquerading as "patriots." If you have sound reasoning to want to remove illegal immigrants, this is not you. This is for those people who simply hate anything not white and try to cover it up.

a nice little tidbit floating around facebook right now:

"I love CHRISTMAS LIGHTS, they remind me of illegal immigrants .
They all hang together , half of the fuckers don't work,
and the ones that do aren't that bright"

So... they either "don't work" or they're "stealing all our jobs." It can't be fucking both, so which is it? All you're doing is being nasty.

I hate people so, so much.

  Exactly. That gets quoted so many times in my environmental science class it's not even funny.

you should watch this one segment of the colbert report where he's talking about how Alabama is scaring away all its migrant workers with laws that allow police to ask for proof of citizenship at routine traffic stops, etc, and now all these jobs are open but no american citizen wants to take them because the pay is too low to survive on for such shitty work. No one there to harvest crops, food rotting on the vines, etc. And they're making prisoners do the work now, but the prisoners don't do nearly as hard work as the immigrants did. Herpderp.

Not only are they hard workers who have to work shit jobs to feed their families, they're also only "stealing" the jobs that aren't even worth doing to the average american because the pay is so artificially low you can't survive on it. Thats a problem with government and the economy, not illegal immigration. But, some people wouldn't care, because they simply hate Mexicans and anything that isn't white and wants to scapegoat them because they're too stupid to see the greater problem.

My doctors not telling me that my new medicine might negatively interact with my other current medicines. I've been vomiting constantly for the past several hours, my arms have broken into a scaly blister that's bleeding all over the place, and because I can't keep food down, I've passed out twice tonight due to low blood sugar and bashed my head on the bookcase in the hall. I'm pissed off, in a lot of pain, covered in blood, and severely depressed. Most of those problems could've been avoided, or at least prepared for, if my doctors had done their jobs. *stab stab stab*

Hot Topic at the mall here in Lexington KY doesn't carry Bloody Mary makeup anymore...gee I guess they just don't have room for it anymore among all the stupid stick on moustaches and internet meme t shirts. That place gets more ridiculous every time I walk in. I mean...the music... makes me wan't to grab the nearest Twilight brand eyeliner stick and stab myself in the ears with it. Twilight eyeliner?! Yeah...twilight eyeliner >.>

Man I have a million rants like this every day. I feel so sorry for my facebook friends. They probably think I'm the most miserable person on earth.lol :D
