First attempt at "Coontails"

Post by plasticedges » Sun Jun 05, 2011 10:05 pm

I need some help on the dying, the stripes didn't bleed too bad, but I want a more precise line. Also if anyone could tell me how to dye them more than 2 colors, that would be most appreciated.

Quite nice for a first try.

To get a better line just takes practice and a steady hand. Personally, I don't like 'perfect' because it's hair and if it's too 'neat' than it looks more fake.

Also, I would suggest using thread closer to the color so that the black thread doesn't stand out so much.

ive used masking tape to make the lines, and doing more than two colours, you just paint them all on seperatley.

I think the blue and black one looks awesome! For a more defined line, through them on a clip board and tape the striped areas :)
