My first dreads

Post by los » Fri Apr 29, 2011 12:20 am

Hello everyone, this is my first ever post and set. :D

These are approximately 40 SEs mostly solids with a few blends. I sealed them using the damp cloth and straightener method. I do plan on making some more as they are for a set of falls but I thought I'd get some advice on the ones I've already made.

I'm pretty pleased how they're coming out but there's definitely room for improvement so your critique would be greatly appreciated. Also I can take more pictures if needed/requested. Thanks!

Pretttty! They look very solid and the ends are nicely tapered (just a few need to be trimmed).
Very good job!

Holy Crap! This is your first set ever?

Great job. Neat loops, solid backcombing, nice taper, and lovely blends.

Show off more. :i2:

Yes, these are my first dreads, I swear! Thanks guys, I'm flattered. I think I'll take some better pictures in natural light so you can see the problem areas and possibly offer some advice. :i2:

Very pretty, they look very solid and well made, lovely taper to. The only thing I can pick up on is that a few might need a bit of a reseal to keep them tight and even ^^ lovely work

They look really well sealed (as far as my knowledge on sealing goes) and very neatly done, congratulations, a great first set by any standards :)
