Best way to attach 5mm tubing?

Title says it all really... I've got some 5mm tubing I want to incorporate into a set of falls but I can't work out the best way to do it. Tying in a knot leaves bulky lumps which are hard to hide and I don't think rubber bands will hold up very well.

Any ideas?

I usually use rexlace or cable ties to hold it in place -- cable ties work better for bunches of tubing and rexlace (or smaller tubing) is better suited to single pieces.

I tie it with a rubberband like it would be a de dread, or, if the tubing is large-diameter-but-thin-walled, I make a hole into it and tie using rexlace.

You might want to try hand sewing the tubing, that works best for me, and with all kinds (smooth and ribbed). It's a little more tricky, but then you don't have the bulk/clutter of having cable ties or other materials trying to hold it together. There are many ways to do it, I would just do some tests and see which works best for you. :)
