Perking up Plastic Falls?

Post by SyNNy+SuKKupyre » Sun May 03, 2009 10:11 pm

I have been working on a set of plastic falls.
Each one has about 10M of flat plastic.
And almost a full spool of rexlace.
Plus some beads :D.

{I will be adding some neon green thin jelly cording soon ^^}

I have shortish-medium length hair.
The one time I did wear them I really struggled to make them sit right. {LOLZ at my make-up}

Does anyone have any suggestions to make them act "more fall like"?

The best way to get volume out of plastic lacing falls is to treat them like extensions. Braid some synthetic hair onto the elastic and tie the plastic onto that. You'll get more volume and much better movement that way.

You don't need to use kk since you're not dreading it; cheap hair like pp will work too. You can also braid the plastic or make some braids out of yarn, but they won't hang as nicely as synthetic hair will.

Hey there!

Have you tried checking out computer parts stores? They actually have some pretty nifty plastic tubing (about 10ft for 4 bucks) and its adds alot more volume and is spiral cut. You can even wrap it around your own hair or faux dreads.

Its kind of a crappy picture and I wish I had a picture of the falls I made using this but alas they were deleted when my other computer died. But just a suggestion for other plastic stuffs you can use. :)
