Crin installation
I'm contemplating doing a mix of small and large crin here in a couple of months. My hair is extremely thin and will be just at 2"...any ideas if a double-ended install will work? I figure crin is my best option for short hair since it stretches almost flat. I considered wool, but I'm mildly allergic and live in a hot climate.
For a full-head install, how many bags should I use? I want it full, but not massive...I need to be able to get my shirt on every day!
Any tips are greatly appreciated. I've not seem much info pertaining to crin extensions, only falls.

Re: Crin installation
2" is pretty short to try to braid anything in, but since crin can be smashed down pretty tiny you might be able to get it to work.
How long do you want the extensions to be? Do you want it mostly large, mostly mini, or about equal? I can try to figure out how much you need based on that info

Re: Crin installation
I'm aiming for just below shoulder length and I think I'd like to do about three-quarters regular crin and the rest mini.
Ceri was able to get dreads into my hair when it was about 2"...she's a great braider, though, so I'm hoping I can find someone equally as talented to install the crin! I neeeeeed new hair soon...it has been way too long.

Re: Crin installation
Maybe 4-6 bags? I use 3 bags of large crin for shoulder length falls, and since its so big around I don't think you'd need much more than that for extensions.

Re: Crin installation
im going to be using come crin as highlights for a set of dread extensions, not used crin before, do you just braid it in exactly the same as the dreads? im a bit worried about the elastic bands snapping on it as it expands. do i braid it in at dilated width or do it in as tightly as possible.
eek help!

Re: Crin installation
Crin isn't likely going to expand underneath the elastics because it's very pliable. It's not strong enough to snap them. You can braid it in tightly; crin is meant for making bows, so it's supposed to be smashed and knotted and stuff

Re: Crin installation
i suggest going out and buying a bottle of hair glue (and a bottle of remover for later) for that extra 'fix' and just use it to seal the ends of your hair after you braid the cyberlox in
i once did extensions with around that much hair
and i swear that is the only reason it stayed in

From sets of falls I have made, I attached mine to a skullcap. The crin can be sewn on or riveted.

I thought about doing this for men who dont like to put their hair in pony or pig tails.Dark Gentleman wrote:From sets of falls I have made, I attached mine to a skullcap. The crin can be sewn on or riveted.
