Re-structuring a wig??

Post by lil_miss_pink » Wed Aug 26, 2009 11:01 pm

Im hoping some of you can help me fix a wig i recently ordered from one of the girls on here.

From what i can understand, the wig she bought wasnt kk, so she cut all the weft off it and stiched the dreads into the elastic base. The problem is that the weft was holding the elastic into place, so now im left with something pretty shapeless.
When i put it on the elastic all bunches up at the top of my head, and there is nothing on the sides.
Im wondering if theres any way i can re-structure it so it looks like a full wig again?

Hopefully you girls can help me, pretty disappointed with it

I'm thinking maybe take strips of elastic or lace and sew those in where the wefts used to be.. then put dreads on them if they're showing through? If you put the wig inside out on some sort of form you might be able to get it shaped right. I dunno though, I'm just taking a stab in the dark on this one.

Yeah, make dreads on a weft and sew those on... Urgh I think the seller needs to seriously read up on some more tutorials and learn how to do things properly. :|

I strongly encourage you to leave feedback for her if she's doing a lot of business through the board. Here's a link to the reviews section:

http://hairextensionsforum.com/viewforum.php?f=35

If she's already got a thread, you can add your review there; if she doesn't, feel free to start a new one :)

There are only 4 pages to look through, or you can also use the search function. Just put the seller's name in the "keyword" box, select "Reviews - Hair Sellers" where it gives you the option to select a forum, and then select search "Topic titles only."
