Wig with extensions?

Post by Kittycat » Fri May 29, 2009 5:24 pm

We have this project work thing in third grade, after the summer, and my idea was to make a dread wig. But the problem is that it's something I've never made before. Just regular extensions.
So i was wondering, should i buy a wig and just install extensions in it like it was on a real persons hair? Doesn't the wigs hair get damaged by it? Like falls of because of the heavyweight?

It would really help to get some answers, an probably the simplest tutorial ever, because I'm such a lazy person :P

Thanks anywayz! :D

Did you happen to check out any of the tutorials around here? Many of them can definitely show you the various ways that people attach dreads to wigs.

Mmkay, but can a wig from a store handle the weight from like 80 extensions? Stupid question perhaps, but well, i want to know, so i don't start on something that's not going to work in the end.

A cheap party wig might not. The better the quality the better it should hold up. You should try checking out Professional Only and Cog-Marc on ebay:
