After looking at the dread some more I have to say I really do like the idea of needle felting a faux dread bead on there. I wish I could see her loop more though, looks rather large. Anyone know if she is a member on here?

Not that I know of, but then again I've never really asked. She seems to have natural dreads--maybe she's on one of those boards?

Wow, I love that green vine too!

I also like how the needle-felting puts a slight groove in the dread.
Really boosts the design.

Allright I apologize for so many images but I wanted to show the whole thing....
My version of the afore mentioned dread.....This one is dedicated to you Vixen, hehe.

Its not so busy, and I like it longer and sleeker myself but its all a matter of taste.

I love all these vines and flowers i see popping up here.
When i went to Strawberry fair I saw some actual felted flowers and these are all very similar, they look amazing, but very time consuming... worth the effort though!!!

Sweeee!!!

Needle felting is SO much fun! :)

The idea of felting on patterns on dreadies always crossed my mind, but I prefer my roving dreads to be very unfelted and large, so i think it would be harder to needle felt patterns on.

Yes it would take a long time but I think with the right set one or two would look really cool. Also I really like Vixens idea of a white dread with the black vines aswell.

allright people, I think I am going to be making some woolies for a street performer I met this weekend, sometime next month. I need some ideas for small simple "dread tattoo's" for a guy. He likes the camo, and the mushroom but I was trying to think up other little eye catchers... any help?

Well, you could felt the simpler alchemic symbols, or even heiroglyphs--depending upon what kind of guy he is. Also, small tribal things would be cool; check out some Native American websites for inspiration.

Oooh!! An semi-related idea--wouldn't it be cool to we made "totem dreads"?

Totem dreads would be awesome, I know lots of people that would dig that. But would take a more artistic hand than mine. I would love to see it though. I love your ideas and Runes would be awesome too. Especially ones directed towards good omens. I knew you would have something for me Vixen, thanks!
