Hiya
I got these brilliant roving dreads in june, installed them for a festival and then took them out. I wanted to make them into falls, so i got some stretchy material (cut up an old t-shirt :p) and did the 'double layers' method (posted in HH tutorials)
The result was they were very full, but when i tried to tie them onto my bunches they were just too kind of stiff, like they didn't 'fall' properly.
I've got no idea if i'm explaining myself well lol.
Is there something i'm doing wrong? i can post a pic if needed

pictures would really help here!
if you can take some I am sure we can help you!
Possibly you don't need double layers with your roving? depends how thick or full they are!

hehe i figured i might need a pic! i'll see if i can get one..
it's just that with synth hair falls they 'fall' nicely and you can't see the bit where they are all put together on the lace/material? I guess mine are chunky so you can see this bit...
i'll post a pic

I have taken a few bits out of this fall- i found out that i can't actually tie it tight around my bun- it's too chunky :/ but then i don't get good coverage... hmmm!
This is the fall.
Any suggestions welcome! i'm a bit stuck but have a sneaking suspision it might be me who's being a *doh*

nothing much you can do about thatt, it is beacue the roving dreads are too short to lay flat.
One thing you could do is to take them off the fall and turn them into an SE using a mini elastic or sewing.
make a little loop at the top of the dread and then thread it back on. You will decreases the fullness of the fall but it will mean it won't stick up. It does look thin anyway whentied in your hair, maybe you need a few more dreads anyway

In that picture are we looking at the back of your head or the side? I can't work it out.
Anyway, have you worn falls before? It looks to me like it's partly to do with the way you are attaching it to your buns. You need to squish up all the dreads so you can tie it tightly round your buns.
You may find it easier to make several thin falls and attach them one on top of each other rather than do one big one. Easier to attach.
