Ideas to pep us up...

Please comment, add ideas... We need to be more active or this board will die.
I personally love this place and would hate to see it die...once upon a time it was a place of learning and inspiration, there is so much out there now that we are not the jive of activity we once were from Quin's hairboard, to Heavenly Hair to this place...a lot of us have by find memories if caring, sharing and supporting.


Themed competitions could be hosted by mods or members, prizes could be donated by members if prizes needed. I used to do this in a doll forum, you would regularly get a handful of members who made things who would donate a little prize.

So...discuss

I like the idea of the themed and photo competitions, they did that on a forum I used to use several years ago and it always proved popular

I think it would be fun to do a competition where the supplies are decided by the judges. All participants use the same items and are judged by the creativity of the end product.

I like all the ideas to be honest. I think the problem is most people who have made friends here communicate through facebook etc now which obviously wasn't around in the past.

I'm still very much in touch with many people from here, I should make more of an effort to post >_<

I like the photo ideas too. I think the more photos the more conversation will be inspired by them. I dont post much here anymore because I have not really been dreading much, but I would hate to see this place die too!

It seems A&P is pretty dead. I would encourage more sales there as well. I see a lot of people posting sales to the thread on the FB group, but its so long, confusing, and muddled! I hate going thru there!

Would members like the 50 post count removed for selling? We use to be o busy it was needed to establish identity but I am apply to adjust this if members would like?

I try to sell through here but my hats don't get comments or sales through here so I too kinda gave up!

There are so many groups on facebook now though - cyber ones, hair ones, alt ones & so on.

I like the themed thing.

I used to post on here A LOT (I think my post count is the highest on the board) but people get caught up in life, work, stresses etc. I did at one point start talking to myself on the chat thread, because no one else was posting anything!
