Wedding bits!

Post by ScarletLady » Fri Sep 10, 2010 12:13 pm

Just thought I'd show these off as I'm really pleased with them...just goes to show that you can do things on a budget - my bouquet and invites cost me about £15 in total.

Invites first, I created the inserts, emailed them to Dad to print off as we have no printer, then put them together myself yesterday. The little things with the ribbon are my RSVP bits (I forgot to include the details on the inserts D'OH!)

Now my bouquet which I'm really pleased with...foam and wood roses, organza and velvet ribbon with feather butterflies from my local florists :)
All put together completely from scratch this morning

You should spray the boquet with perfume on the morning of the big day :D

I plan to - the wooden roses are made to take scented oils so they hold perfume. I might get some rose water or something

Thanks everyone - I'm really pleased with how they all came out. Our colour scheme is pink and black, my wedding dress is black so it won't be pink overkill, plus Dan's suit and shirt are both black. Then my sash and Dan's tie are both baby pink so I think we'll look great!

I can't wait, I'm so excited!

Beautiful stuff Liz, you must be so excited. I love the butterflies and the bouquet and the fact that you are going to have personalised everything. You will be able to keep your bouquet forever. xx

Your colors are waaaaay girly for my tastes but for some reason I have fallen completely in LOVE with your bouquet. The butterflies are so adorable and everything completely suits you. Excellent work!

The bouquet is stunning, and the invites look really professional. Great job!

We made our invitations too. Not only was it cheaper and more unique, but me, my mum and my sister had fun making them!
