New camera!! Canon SX210 SI (pic heavy)

So, I got a new camera, and I've been playing with it at work quite a bit. The white balance feature saved us a couple times!!























And the lightning outside, at eight at night (It was really dark)

This thing is amazing!! I still haven't used every setting in it yet, I'm hoping it storms tonight so I can try some other settings to get some awesome lightning pictures. I really, really wanted the Nikon Rebel, but honestly it'd take me a while to figure that one out. This camera has many of the settings as a DSLR, just not at the same level. I can only set the aperture between F3.1 and 8.0, shutter speed between 15" and 1/3200, and white balance between -2 and +2. Still, it's a great camera to play with!!

I've read up the reviews on this camera, and I audibly sighed when I realised I couldn't afford a new camera, especially one with specs like that. It's a great model for it's price range, doesn't look too bulky and has some great perks.

Also, I just got payed so I can send some money to you in about a day's time once I have transferred it across. Yay for new dreads

Yay!! I actually couldn't really afford this camera, either. I went into Best Buy to play with it, and they told me about their 18 month interest free financing, so I applied and got approved for $750 worth. So I got it!! I paid $110 off on it less than a week later, and then put part of my husband's new laptop on it. Probably not the best idea, but I didn't want him to have a shoddy laptop we'd have to replace in 6 months, or less if he got agitated at it..

If I save up enough money to get the Rebel, I'll probably sell this one. And this is my baby!!
