So I ordered some merino wool, and had a go. My hands feel like they're going to fall off x__x
This is the end result- I wanted thin-so I split into three's. Only a few have cracks in them, so I think its pretty good for my first shot :3
I still have to trim some of the ends
Critisism and comments please! I'd like to know what you all think.

Re: My first wooly experience
Nice colours - how many times have you felted them?
If you can still tear the roving apart then the fibres haven't felted together - normally this can happen after 1 or 2 felts. always best to felt at least 4 times in the hottest water you can stand... freshly boiled kettle water is PERFECT (wear gloves though). Give them a shake, if they go "fluffy" then again, they'll need another felt.
Cracks happen, more felting (can you see where I'm going with this?) will help them to disappear - or you could get a felting needle & move it that way
