First Hand Tied Weft

Post by Leanna Moore » Mon Jun 14, 2010 10:59 pm

I watched a video on youtube on how to do this, and it took a fair few tries to get the weaving done properly, but I think it turned out pretty good for my first try- though I think I used too many hair strands. I straightened kk jumbo braid in emerald and dark brown.

Please tell me if theres anything that needs improving (:

I wouldn't know anything about it but I think it looks pretty good.

You did really well on the green part, but the black is a little inconsistent. Great job overall!

I agree with the sections being too big, but it still looks well done! You make me want to give this a try.

Thanks :3

Next time, I'll try using half the amount of strands and see where that gets me.
It turned out a little thin looking, so I was thinking that I might make another one, and sew them together

This is my first try o: I was really surprised with how it turned out xD I expected it to come out horrible, but... There you go. Probably helped that the hair was wet.

Thanks you (:

Thank you :D I'm gonna wear it out tomorrow. And then make some 2 inch wide clip in extensions in various colors >:3 yey

You should try it, its a pretty interesting experience. I ended up putting 4 dollars in my curse jar, when I first started trying to figure out the weave process xD I get exasperated way too easily lol

Even though the sections are a bit big, that looks really good, as soon as my exams finish, I'm going to have to try making one. I hope it comes out as good as yours did

I first cut it straight across, but it was really gibbled, so I looked through some hair magazines and saw a 'V' cut and decided to try it.
I love v cut bangs so much, they just make me happy o:

Thank you all so very much for all the nice comments and suggestions.
I'm gonna try making a clip in 3 inch weft this morning, and if it turns out all right I shall post it in the show off section

oh wow this looks so nice and professional! i actually just received some weft and this definitely compares, except for the one end there. i also think that it would look perfect with another one stacked with it :D
