Natural dreads

Post by Leanna Moore » Fri Jun 04, 2010 5:51 pm

These are my first naturals that have turned out somewhat decent. I backcombed, palmrolled, hung them over some towel bars and poured boiling water over them, palmrolled again whilst they were still fairly warm then braided some of the ends and let them dry that way.

I did two of the longer blond ones WAYYY too thick, I have a super hard time backcombing thick dreads, but got it done in the end >.<

Is there anything that looks like needs improving?

I think they look great (even the giant blond ones).

If they were mine, I'd probably trim a little bit of the fuzzies off the ends, but that's really just a matter of personal preference.

I wouldn't know anything about naturals, but I think they look pretty good.

I think they look good! The varied thickness and texture at the ends looks interesting, I really like it! I have never made or worn naturals so I can't really be too helpful there, but I would love to see install pictures and a follow up of how they held together :)
